AHEDD’s Board of Directors is proud to welcome Brandy Burnham as AHEDD’s President effective June 4, 2018.  

A resident of Lewisberry, Pa., Brandy is a graduate of Pennsylvania State University and Harrisburg Area Community College.  She began her career as a support teacher and behavior specialist at Forbush School where she taught critical skills in the areas of academics, vocational preparation, social skills and behavior management.  Her career path, which includes years of learning and case management support for students, youth and adults with disabilities, led her to several positions with the state’s Department of Labor & Industry.  For more than five years, she held the position of Director of the Bureau of Workforce Development Administration where she cultivated dynamic relationships with federal, state and local constituents.  

As President, Brandy is responsible for the planning, implementation and management of financial policy decisions that affect our multi-state employment service organization.  She will negotiate state, federal and local contracts to secure programs and lead AHEDD as we continue to meet the employment needs of people with disabilities and the business community.
