for Transition from School to Careers & Work
Our goal is to provide
you with an effective service to guide you to explore your potential
as your consider your career options.
If you are still
in high school, AHEDD staff will want to coordinate our services with
your Transition Coordinator. Our service model is individualized to
meet your specific needs and complement your educational goals.
We generally begin
with a written Plan of Service created by you and our staff. This plan
might then include any or all of the following: pre-employment activities,
community work assessment, benefits counseling, job placement, job coaching,
follow-up.
Typically our services
are sponsored by a third party and we may need to have you participate
in their procedures.
