Why Your Financial
Gift to AHEDD is So Important!
One of the best
and most convenient ways to help individuals with disabilities to gain
greater social and economic self-sufficiency is through your thoughtful
contributions. Philanthropy is not just for the wealthy. You can show
that you care about others by making plans today to leave a time-honored
gift to support the employment services offered by AHEDD.
Each year, AHEDD
provides competitive employment training and follow up support services
to over 400 individuals with a disability. These are individuals who
have made the conscious decision to overcome the myriad of barriers
that often make the difference between someone who is chronically unemployed
or someone who is gainfully employed and an active contributing member
of their community. The need for services far outstrips the available
funds that AHEDD receives in service fees, contracts and grants. Oftentimes,
AHEDD is required to provide a financial match in order to draw down
federal funds available through grants awarded to the organization.
Your gift will enable AHEDD to expand its ability to serve more individuals
who need assistance in reaching their goal of a competitive job in the
community.
Your gift to
AHEDD is tax-deductible in keeping with the IRS Codes for contributions
to recognized 501(c)(3) public charities.

*Memorial
and Honor Gifts
Why a Memorial or
Honor Gift?
Your privacy as
the donor is always maintained. Unless otherwise notified, AHEDD will
never reveal the amount of a donors gift. This eliminates the
"keeping up with the Joneses" syndrome.
Your gift will serve
a dual purpose: It honors your friend or loved one, and also helps AHEDD
to continue the work of assisting individuals with a disability to receive
employment services and live independent lives in the community.
Memorial or Honor
Gifts offer you a convenient and easy way to meaningfully promote the
cause of independence and community integration for individuals who
have disabilities.
